Death Battle Idea 8 by WeirdKev-27 Death Battle Idea 8 by WeirdKev-27
Miss Martian:Martian Manhunter's sixteen-Martian year-old niece, as well as being an inexperienced superhero. As a Martian, she has telekinesis, telepathy, and flight. Additionally, she can shape-shift, though she has trouble mimicking men. She has stated that she cannot become intangible as her uncle can, implying that this is an advanced skill. She pilots her own bio-ship, which transports the team and turn invisible. She is kind and optimistic, but has a naive streak born of having learned about life on Earth through simplistic TV sitcoms.

Starfire:The second of the three children of the Royal Family of Tamaran. When her planet was attacked and devastated by the Gordanians, Starfire's elder sister Blackfire made a peace settlement with the invaders by giving them her younger sibling as a slave. Unfortunately for her captors, Starfire, while apparently rather naive and gentle by Tamaranian standards, was too much for them to handle, breaking loose and flying to Earth. There, she had an... interesting... meeting with the other future Teen Titans, who came to her defense against the Gordanians. Like all her species, Starfire can fly, is super strong, is extremely durable, and can hurl energy blasts called "starbolts".

Who would win a Death Battle?

Well, starfire is stronger, faster, more durable and also has powerful energy blast, but Miss martian can become invisible, intangible and mindrape Starfire

She's not, actually.  The Martians are often depicted as being as powerful as Kryptonians, so Starfire doesn't actually have that much of a power advantage.

While that is true, Megan doesn't have many strength feats as far as I know, and while she would obviously have superhuman strength we can't be sure up to what degree.

On the other hand her other powers like telep, invisibility and shapeshifting give her better versatility and possibilities of winning.
-----------

If Megan had strength advantage, it would be minimal.
If she went into a physical battle, she would be at disadvantage because of starfire energy based powers.
Martians have a weakness for fire.
Starfire energy produces heat
Starfire can't only throw starbolts, she can pretty much irradiate heat from all of her body.

Any physicall contact between them would burn Megan
and that trumps any advantage physical strenght migth give to Megan.

--------------------------

Megan's best asset and hope are invisibility, telepathy and shapeshifiting and if possible intangibility. She can't physically touch Starfire without hurting herself (I think).

Without it, Starfire would burn her to ashes or at least KO her with the explosive power of he blasts.
------------

Starfire melts metal at contact with her skin.

She easily melts glass and burns bad guys to ahses.

Her hair is on fire

Solar radiation, Starfires energy source and what she concentrates into her attacks, isn't the same thing as fire.  The martian weakness isn't a weakness towards extreme temperatures, for some reason fire is something they possess an extreme fear towards, and since their powers are psychic in nature, something that has a profound effect on their mind will have an extreme effect on their body.  If i remember right what wiped out most martians was some kind of illness that made them hallucinate fire.  Miss Martian wouldn't be specifically vulnerable to the star bolts, but could be weakened if Starfire is aware of the martian pyrophobia and used them to set something on fire.

Oh, one more thing worth noting, we're not working with the New 52 abomination variation of Starfire, her backstory is more in line with the classic version before DC decided "You know what?  We've been too successful lately."  Since the description didn't mention alien experiments as the source of her power, it's probable we're working with the Teen Titans animated version whose powers were natural to her species.

Well, if it is their animated versions, as I previously thought
before you pointed out the "Martians are often depicted as being as powerful as Kryptonians" comment.

Then Megan has no strenght feats at all,
which means she doesn't have any advantage in that field at all,
nor in speed which means that your previous comment is competely irrelevant.

Also, even in the animate version, starbolts created explosion, and every explosion creates fire (plasma), even if it is for a brift moment.

Megan hasn't.  The Martian Manhunter has.  Same species, similar powers, Miss Martian just hasn't reached the same level as J'onzz.

Oh, one more detail.  Fire and plasma are not the same thing.  One is a chemical reaction created by rapid oxidization in the presence of heat or something else that would cause it to ignite, plasma is ionized gas and one of the four states of matter.

All martians have an specific set of powers, but every martians has then to their own degree, Martians can amp their strength by changing their molecular structure, but given that Miss Martian and Martian Manhunter have different degrees on the control of their powers, we can't really powerscale Miss Martian strength from Martian Manhunter. (If anything  we can say she can be potentially as strong as a kryptonian, but we can't say that she actually is as strong as any of them)

Also, in Young Justice, Martian Manhunter also lacks of the strenght feats required to say he has kryptonian strenght.
--------

www.plasma-universe.com/Fire_%…
www.askamathematician.com/2013…

By definition, while not every plasma is a fire, every fire is a plasma, or contains plasma.
And also anything with enough heat to produce a plasma, has more than enough heat to produce a fire. (In the presence of oxygen and our atmosphere is rich in it)

--------

Starbolts produce both thermal and explosive results on contact, from Miss Martian perspective, Starfire starbolts plasma explosions would be indistinguishable from fire as they would have the same effects (light, color, heat), and would produce a fire, if they hit anything flammable.

If we go by Miss Martian from the second season of JY, Starfire wouldn't be able to resist MMs mental attacks - and IIRC, MM can turn intangible by then. First season MM would have a harder time.

Also, as has been mentioned: The "weakness to fire" is a purely mental effect. Martians don't fear laser blasts or explosions either - it's really just that seeing (or believing to see) large quantities of "something burning" causes them to break down, and as psychic shapeshifters, mental damage is physical damage.

Sure, Starfire can set stuff on fire, but that means she can use MMs weakness only indirectly - she needs something to fuel the fire, because her blasts don't have the same effect.

And MM of either season can and does use large-scale telekinesis, even in concert with her near-invisibility.

So, in the end, it depends on the battlefield. If there's enough stuff to burn (like, in a forest), Starfire wins by setting everything on fire. If they're in a desert or similar place, Miss Martian can turn invisible and wittle Starfire down with ranged telekinesis attacks (or simply fry her mind, in case of second season MM).

really depends on who gets the first shot out- Starfire can literally just light Megan on fire.
On the other hand- Starfire doesn't have mental blocks.

If we're going by the amount of power they have in comics and not just the show, Kori (Starfire) would win. If you've read Red Hood and the Outlaws, you know that she was able to destroy an entire band of slavers when she was just a child by her self. She has been referred to as a living Nuclear Reactor, with as much power to boot. Basically, the only two who have been able to make her angry and survive the reprisal have been Jason and Roy.

Miss Martian, Starfire has no defense against psychic stuff and M'gann's powerset is more versatile than simple, strength + flying + Energy Projection.

Miss Martian's telepathy would offer little advantage. While Starfire's powers are based off of raw emotion, which means that there is little tact to her actions: she is the power of righteous wrath. Miss Martian is inexperienced in fights, while Starfire is a warrior princess presumably trained from childhood since her planet was at war in her youth. They both fly. They are both naive, so their tactics will be pretty simple. They are both heroes with strong moral convictions (Miss Martian will not mind control people), but Starfire has likely killed in the past and would likely attack with unstoppable power if Miss Martian revealed her monstrous true form in battle. Also, Miss Martian's ship would probably not be able to outpace Starfire's apparently faster than light space travel (she isn't gone for years when she flies in space without a ship).

Starfire Wins.

Even though I started to dislike Miss Martian due to her actions in season 2 I believe she would win this her uncle admitted that she has more raw telepathic power than him unless Starfire`s bolts of energy can create a fire but MM could always turn into Robin or another member and get her guard down

she has trouble with Male Transformations remember? Raven is a definite maybe but even then the mere way she moves will probably break the illusion as Miss Martian is practically the polar opposite of Raven.

The guise only has to work for a couple of seconds then boom she could use her telepathy to knock her out or use telekinesis to slam her into the ground

The Telepathy is a good chance. But Telekinesis wouldn't work so well as Starfire is durable.

I like the character Starfire better but I think Megan could beat her in a death match. Megans intangibility would cancel out starbolts and strength and an attack on Starfires mind would likely make an easy knockout.

Well I suppose the location of the battle would make a difference then. The length of the battle as well. Also while it is not a main weakness like miss martian we don't really know how starfire would do when exposed to a great deal of fire either unless theres some plotline I am forgetting.

im not a big miss martion fan and i really dont care abt starefier that much but i would say miss martion. both miss martion and starfier are really strong but lets say for example star were to shut her starbolts miss m could easly move it with her telekinesis. that is really the only wepond she has not counting her fist. miss m has an advanteg with more porers she wold us her telekinesis to move a truck or car and stop it in mid air. star would have to go pick it up then try to trow it and hope it hits her oponet.
